Menu Redesign
Graphic Design, Typography
2026
Created for a typography course, this project involved redesigning the menu of Vancouver's Dovetail Restaurant with a focus on typographic hierarchy, readability, and editorial layout. To make the project my own, I created a new restaurant identity called Juniper Kitchen & Bar. The name came naturally because my cat, Juniper, was sitting beside me while I was brainstorming ideas, and it ended up fitting the modern, nature-inspired aesthetic I wanted to achieve.

Using Adobe InDesign, I redesigned the menu into a cohesive four-page system featuring food, desserts, happy hour, cocktails, beer, and wine. My goal was to create a layout that felt clean and intuitive while maintaining a refined visual style. I paired the Seasons typeface with Josefin Sans to establish a clear typographic hierarchy and built the colour palette around Pantone's Juniper green with warm cream tones. Throughout the project, I refined the typography, spacing, and layout based on instructor feedback, resulting in a more polished and cohesive final design.
